Students will make an 18” Mariner’s Compass using symmetrical fabric.  Fussy-cutting symmetrical fabric creates a spectacular design in the center and students will learn how positioning the template on the fabric will change the central design.  The center will be round and students will learn how to insert the compass into a circular hole in a larger square.

Climb onboard a bus and travel house to house of 4 guild members to tour their studios, sewing rooms and sanctuaries.  Enjoy refreshments along the way and get inspired by their experience and helpful tips.

Show and Tell

Their presentation includes a discussion of color, creative fabric
use and simple border treatments.   Come prepared to shop
as they will have some of their fabric collections,
patterns and  quilting products available for purchase.
